DECEMBER 2011
THE LIGHTS ARE ON, TWO FULLY LIT FIELDS, SOME NEW FACILITIES, NEW COACHES, SAME EXPECTATIONS.
We are about to enter our 6th year known as Magic United but carry with us the history and goals that our club was originally known for.
Our committee is strong and experienced and at last we enter a new phase of our journey are own home grounds fully flood lit fields, new toilet block and re fitted dressing rooms with toilets and showers, located at Birmingham Rd Carrara accross from Emmanuel college.
There are not many clubs that can boast 2 fully 100 lux lit fields with ample space to play and train for all teams and ages. The new fields have now really established themselves and the playing surface is in excellent condition and along with other important improvements will form the base of our new facilities. We are working closely with council, emmanuel college and gold coast soccer to ensure the new facilities meet all the needs of the community and the youngsters and seniors that play with us.
All coaches must be licensed and qualified to coach as well as hold blue card accreditation. Whilst accreditation is very important this is added to by the fact most of our coaches have also played the game at a senior level and have children as well.
Our club is built very much on the stregth of its coaches and their ability to groom. develop and grow the abilities of all children that play at Magic. Our senior coach and his team will be involved wherever possible with the junior club, and the support of our JUNIOR DIRECTOR this year will have special emphasis on children playing with us.
Our in ability to cater for older teams, their training requiremnets etc have now gone and we would like to encourage new teams, coaches and players to either come back or come to Mmagic United to share these new facilities with us.
We are looking to continue our progressive youth policy approach and reward all those that have had to leave due to our facility/lighting restrictions by adding 1st/2nd and Womens teams now that we can cater professionally for ALL.
At junior level we want to field teams in ages from under 6 to U 17 dependant in numbers.
Player development, player improvement, team skills and having fun are the Clubs goals and aims. A journey from Rooball player to Premier League to Representative is always a goal of our Club and its coaching team.
Referrees are important and form an integrial part of our club and have done since inception. We have a junior referree program involving a mentor and a co ordinator and encourage any child or dad that would like to assist in this area, you are fully supported.
If you as a parent want good organisation, quality coaching, good fields, ample parking and a friendly place then we are for you. We also acknowledge the continued support of all our sponsors and families that have remained loyal to us we appreciate your support its our members that make us known as the family club.
Those that are here already know - and those that will come will find out - that we are exactly what the words say: “Magic” and "United".
