Magic United Club Update
It is with pleasure we now confirm that the club has completed all financial requirements and returns to Department of Fair Trading and have held our AGM In accordance with our constitution.
The following people were elected into positions:
President: Gary Thompson
Vice President: Gavin Clout
Secretary: Linda Parkes
Treasurer: Gary Parkin
Committee: Gary Parkes
We are looking for more members to come on board especially in the junior capacity and ask those that maybe interested to contact me with a view to moving your club forward in the best interests of the kids and volunteers.
The pictures on the web site show our new fields are under going extensive work and as of today not only are both fields finished, the full surrounding areas have been grassed as well. These will be playable for the season and based on advice will be able to commence training form virtually sign on.

Meetings to date with council have proved very beneficial with confirmation that funding for field lighting design and structure has been approved, Design to change the current building gifted to us by Nifsan into change rooms, toilets, showers and a canteen is also well under way. A meeting with Gold Coast Soccer yesterday confirms they are more than happy with our plans and they can see we are trying to ensure all is in place for the start of season 2010. Future plans for lighting of both fields and new clubhouse are also being discussed with several parties and your new committee is working hard in these areas. Several people have come forward offering assistance whether it be labour, infrastructure, materials etc and to those we say thankyou.
If you think you can help in some small way please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss. We are also working on an interim idea of a clubhouse, and the very key to this maybe some naming right sponsorship to go on the building until full building plans are implemented, whilst we are the first to acknowledge the difficult times ahead the exposure gained from Birmingham Rd and directly opposite Emmanuel College is we believe a good investment for your dollars given the position.
This is an exciting time for the club and those that have stuck by us are hopefully about to bare the fruit of our labours. The saying goes that Rome was not built in a day and the same can be said about the club.
There are always rumours about whether magic are going to survive and each year somehow we do. I would encourage all those people that hear the rumours to simply contact us to hear what we have planned for you and the future development of your children as this is the very essence of why we have fought to remain alive.
Further regular updates will be provided to all in the form of newsletters so please register onto our website so you become a recipient.
