Youth Squad. Match report

In the first 4 games of the youth league our boys have competed very well and as the season progresses will only become more of a force in the competition.

After handing Coomera a very soft win in the first round, the team has stepped up a notch and have recorded 2 wins and 1 draw and are sitting middle of the ladder with some hard games to come in the next couple of weeks. The team has trained exceptionally well.  The general attitude to training and games is very pleasing from a coaches point of view.  Youth league is different to what they have been used to in junior football and I will be expecting the boys to mature as players and a team throughout the season. Just like the Premiers and Reserves our boys do appreciate the support from the club. The football played at youth level is entertaining, so if supporters can come to watch Magic's stars of tomorrow they wont be disappointed.

Under 10 Blue Match Report

This week we came up against a very good Bond University team. We were defeated 5-0 - again we had a good second half, with only one goal scored.

Oscar Carmock and Jaydan Pankhurst filled in for our usual goalkeeper and both did a fantastic job - they saved MANY shots at goal and the score would have been much higher if they had not done so well!!

We also had many scoring opportunities but just could not find that net!!!

Under 10 Green Match Report

So far we are undefeated this year.  We have four new players who have slotted into the team really well.  They are playing extremely well as a team with each and every player putting in 100 percent per week under the watchful eye of Evan Jones our wonderful Coach.  Poor Evan had a hard decision of choosing Player of the Week last Saturday as we had so many kids that played well but the trophy went to Keegan Dick who played his heart out – well done Keegan.  Our goal scorers were Jayden McGifford, Jock Thompson, Brendan Kavanagh and Zack Kallinikos 7 – Nil

Janine – Under 10 Green

Under 9 Blue Match Report

What a fortunate coach I am to have such a fine team. This season we had 6 new players join a team that has been together since U6 and I am pleased to say that they are fitting in very nicely.

Thom Bailie & Sam are proving to be a ROCK SOLID FORTRESS at the back and also played well up front when switched with THOM bagging a nice goal. Sean Fincher scored again making it 3 in as many weeks the  roving license given to JARRAD and he  is really paying off. Again a strong game from Max, Daniel Batho and Joe Knox as well as Joel up front coupled with our supa striker Steven (who was Man Of The Match} and NON STOP RUNNER Daniel Hogan we were hard to stop.

Big surprise was our Goalkeeper LUKE wanted some play time an so played the first half and played won the  ball every time an attacker came close. Outstanding.

I coach can not ask for more than 100% and thats what this team gives every week there passing skills and awareness of there surroundings is outstanding and Im very proud of all of you all. Keep it up.
