Premier Reserves Coaches tell interested supporters of how their side was so dominant,
and deserved the points against the opposition all the time. The match
just gone last Saturday against Nerang will be no exeption to that. Not
ever have I been involved in such a comprehensive, committed display
from the Reserves. We tackled with great ferocity, attacked with
creative flair, did everything correct but could only manage a 2-2 result against the second bottom side.
With a combination of poor finishing and having opposing defenders
miraculously clear goals off their line, as time ticked on the
frustration grew and we couldn't find a winner. JOHN MARTIN backed up a good performance last week with a best on ground effort this week. His son JO MARTIN also impressed along with captain OWEN BAKER and talented utility CHRIS SLAVEN.
It is proving to be a very closely fought compettition in the reserve
grade. Teams who are running 2nd are only 5 points clear of 7th so it
is still well and truly up for grabs. The boys who are currently
positioned sixth must start turning top performances into top points,
or we will fail to achieve our goal of reaching the finals this season.
Get out to support the Resi's,
Thanks...LINDSAY.
Youth League Match Report Well, what
can I say? The score shows the result but by no means does it tell the true
story as far as how well the team performed against Nerang. The boys found
something extra and were on top for about 90% of the first half. But again let
themselves down by missing opportunities and giving away soft goals.
Unfortunately the referee was did not seem to be watching our game and also
awarded Nerang a penalty in the first half. We left the pitch at half time with
the score 5-1. We came out on the second half and managed to keep the half
scoreless. In short the boys grew a little on Saturday and showed they do
have strong beating hearts. I was very proud of the effort, and look forward to
Palm Beach on
Saturday where some players will be back from injury and other commitments.

Magic U12 Div ! Match Report After our only loss early
in the year against Nerang it was time to show them why we are leading the comp
and show them we did. After ten minutes of attack from Magic ..Nerang scored
against the run of play to lead 1-0 and from there it seemed to be all Magic.
Jordan M. scored from a long range left foot drive and Jimmy had a blinder
scoring 3 more goals.Richard worked hard and had a great game in the
midfield. Gianluca and Jacob had great games in defence as well as Kane who came
up from the Div 2 team to helpand played great. Rhys worked hard up front and
looked dangerous and Jimmy was rewarded for his good work......final score
MAGIC 4 NERANG 1 ...Magic stay top of the table!

WELL DONE MAGIC U/8 GREEN
Having no game on Saturday must have got the boys very
enthusiastic about the carnival last Sunday. They played as well as I
have seen them all day and could not fault the boys as they fell short
in the semis. OLIVER AUSTIN is showing us every week time and time again just what a player he is. Together with best mate and playmaker HARRISON CORBEL they combine to tear opponents up every week. It was really good to see TRAE STOCKMAN get back to the form I know he is capable of up front and defender JACOB TAURIMA remained solid as always at the back. YANIS showed us what he is made of after coming off injured and returning shortly after to help out his mates. Great effort mate.
We made it to the semis boys...that's all I could ask.
You made a proud coach and parenting group out of us, and we will look
to again improve next week.
