ON A SOUR NOTE It
saddens me a little this week, to again hear of what I believe, to be a
sever case of sideline abuse at one of the Roo Ball Matches.
As
a coach and a parent I will never tolerate this type of behavior and
I'm sure many other parents, teams & coaches would feel the same. Come on guys lets keep it real.
That's it for this week Yours In Football SoccerBoy

The U10 Red Match Report
Finally played a game this weekend after a bye
and cancelled games due to rain other weekends. The kids were ready and
couldn't wait to get out and play some soccer.
We played at Palm Beach against their U10 Blue team. The kids
played well and tried very hard all game. We were winning well in the
first half but Palm Beach came back in the second half. A big well done
to Jay for playing Goalie in the second half and stopping a few goals
from the opposition, Aidan and Robert were great as well.. In the end
the score was 3-2, we won!
Parents Encouragement Award was hard to choose as all the players
did extremely well, Ashley was choosen, enjoy the Red Rooster, Ash -
and the Coaches Trophy for Player of the Match was given to Tim, good
going mate.
See you all on Tuesday for training.
And a thanks to Sue for lending Paul her camera.

GO RED GO! Under 10 Blue Match ReportA convincing win for U10 Blue over Nerang (10 - 1),
even with the coach changing players into positions they had not yet played this
season in the second half just to mix it up.
Goal scorers were: Alex Wild 4 Alex
Poletto 2 Harry Rudd 2
Oscar Carmock 1 Jack Atkinson 1
Man of the Match went to Zac Gibbons, who made a
lot of valuable passes leading to quite a few of the goals, and Jack Atkinson,
who played a good positional game and scored his first goal for the
season.

Well what a match. U9 Green
We had this game marked down on our calendars since
our last epic encounter finished in a 2-1 win to us. And this match lived up to
expectations, in more ways than one.
The game was played at the Knights home ground
and if had on been a council ground it wouldn't have gone ahead since the field
was so bad. It took our team a good 10 mins to adjust to the playing conditions
and by that time we were 2 goals down. Oh dear, this isn't a position that our
lads are used to so we were looking for a response and they didn't dissapoint.
A fantastic half volley from our in form Striker Steven, from easily 20 metres
out and it's game on.
We started to out play them and before half time Joe has
equalised for us and the belief is back. Luke our Goalie pulled off a top draw
save to keep it level at the break. Steven has put us ahead for the first time in
the match late on but a good goal from them and it's all square at 3 all. There
were great performances all over the park but my MOTM went to Daniel Hogan. I'll
go out on a limb and say there is no better right back in our draw and I stand
by that.Great play mate!!
The boys gave their all and I'm very proud of them.
If only we had started a bit better but amazing character to pull back a 2 goal
deficet.
It's a shame that some of the Knights fans let
their kids down the way that they perform.
Boo hiss to the "lady" with the foul mouth. There's
no need for that in our game at all.

GREAT GAME BOYS! U8 Green
The boys played probably the best game they have ever played last Saturday against a determined Nerang team. LACHLAN put in his best performance of the year on the wing and in defense but striker TRAE STOCKMAN earned the man of the match with a terrific display of his abilities.
A massive thankyou to under 7 recruit for the day COOPER BUDWEE who was just on fire out on the right wing, and seemed to enjoy the challenge of playing against the bigger kids. Full back JACOB TAURIMA should also be mentioned with an intellegent and cotrolled performance from the back.
For those of you interested the scoreline was indeed 4-4.
However that became irrellevant when the game was in progress. It
really didn't matter what the result was....the boys showed me that
they are learning how to play football the way it is meant to be
played, and at the rate they are progressing, there will be some future
Magic star players to come out of my side.
Well done yet again boys...
See you on Tuesday.
